VOICE OF THE COMMON MAN OF INDIA is an
initiative in the offing. It has been envisioned by Mr. Subash Deb.
Born and raised in the city of Shillong, which is touted as the education hub of north-east India, Deb went to NEHU (North Eastern Hill University) graduating in Bachelor of Commerce with honours in Advertising and Sales Management. Wanting to pursue his passion in journalism, he moved to New Delhi. There, Mr Deb studied Journalism at Masscomedia Institute. His stint as a desk editor began with Thomson Press.
An upfront and dynamic individual, Deb is blessed with lateral thinking. He is a keen volunteer, lending his free time to famished children. Of late, he has adopted two abandoned and famished children. AASHIANA, an NGO in the making, is a long-time pursuit that Mr. Deb has been engaged with for materializing home for hundreds and thousands of famished children.
Deb holds a master degree in Journalism and is currently holding a Senior Copy Editor position at Hindustan Times. He is also involved with Delhi Times News, a National News Agency, where he works as a freelance reporter. On the top of everything, Deb has earned a goodwill in freelance publishing industry with his team of writers spread across the globe.
DEBCUBSPARK-A SPACE FOR WRITERS is another initiative by this man to bring together budding writers across the country under one umbrella so that they learn from each other through interchange of knowledge. DEBCUBSPARK is an open forum for writers who don't write twaddle. The forum is popular among folks who like to read and write. Therefore, freelance writers, poets, etc., who want to further squeeze out their creative juices, be it in writing, photography, or any other creative art, can join this community of out-of-the-box writers. DEBCUBSPARK, since its inception in 2010, has been treading with one belief, 'Perfection is the child of time and creativity, in whatever form, should find a platform before it silently dies in the hope of being recognized and acknowledged in an unforeseeable future'.
